Formed in 2016, the group is steeped in the varied musical influences of the Dallas scene. Their music features funky, high intensity horn lines in a variety of genres. The group frequently collaborates with various artists as studio musicians, arrangers, and live performers. The Dallas Horns is an energy injection that adds power and excitement to any musical setting, always striving to demonstrate that "Horns make everything better".

Since 2018, the group has been the horn section for the multi-Grammy® award winning artist A. R. Rahman, performing all over the world. The group has come to establish connections and collaborative partners all over the world, and has toured and performed internationally with artists such as Udit Narayan, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, Javed Ali, and Haricharan. Individual credits of the members also include Patti LaBelle, Bobby McFerrin, Father John Misty, Ruben Studdard, Clay Aiken, Johnny Mathis, and many more.
